January Recipe of the Month
Makes 1 glass // Prep Time: 15 minutes // Active Time: 5 minutes // original recipe: www.sipsby.com
INGREDIENTS
- 1/2 cup filtered water
- 1 rounded tsp loose leaf or 1 bag cinnamon tea (we recommend TeaSource Spice tea!)
- 1/4 cup whole milk (we recommend substituting coconut milk)
- 1 cup vanilla ice cream (frozen yogurt works also)
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
- Whipped cream (optional)
DIRECTIONS
Heat the water to 212°F and steep cinnamon tea for 5-10 minutes (cover the tea to keep all the goodness inside!). Remove (strain) tea and set aside to cool to room temperature (about 15 minutes).
Once the tea has cooled down, combine everything in a blender and blend it up! Adding protein to this shake is a great option as well! Top with whipped cream and enjoy your very decadent cinnamon shake!
