Dr. Heather Karls

A heartfelt note from Dr. Karls, who retired from chiropractic practice on June 1st, 2024!

“Since 1996, I have been fortunate to be a part of the Highland Park healthcare community. Blessings have been abundant in my career, and I am so grateful to have been able to work with you, your families and friends. This letter is to inform you that I will be retiring from active chiropractic practice and I will be seeing my last patients on May 31, 2024.

Being a partner in your healthcare has been a wonderful gift. You have let me share in your lives, your joy, your sadness, laughter and all in between. I have learned from each and every one of you. Being entrusted with your care has been an honor.

There are some of you who started at our clinic when we were just a one-story building, with half being Langford Chiropractic and the other half Valvoline Rapid Oil Change. Our practice has evolved over the years and we are still proud to be a neighborhood clinic. I deeply value all these long-standing relationships, as well as those of you I have met much more recently.

Reflecting back over the years, I have been lucky to work with so many talented people. Our current crew of Barb, Roman, Jessica, Olivia and Rachel will also continue to welcome you and help you behind the scenes and at the front desk.

Happily, our women owned practice remains strong and welcomes you and your family! Dr. Anne Langford will remain to share her expertise with her extensive family and pediatric practice. Dr. Jessica Eliason will also be continuing to deliver top quality and genuinely caring chiropractic care. I am also very excited to reintroduce you to Dr. Ellen Jabs. You may remember her as the friendly face who was seeing patients during Dr. Eliason’s maternity leave and was also here in January before her own maternity leave. I am confident you are in good hands.

When asked about his experience with retirement, my Dad used to reply that he “highly recommends it.” I am happy to take his recommendation.

Thank you for your years of support and friendship.”
Heather Karls, D.C.
