Acupuncture

Acupuncture is an effective therapy that can be used to help a wide variety of health concerns.  Examples include: Low energy, insomnia, back and neck pain, sciatica, headache, jaw pain, nausea and vomiting, hypertension, allergies, sinus pain, plantar fascitis, premenstrual tension and PMS, fertility issues, menopausal symptoms, anxiety and depression, insomnia, smoking cessation, fibromyalgia, and much more.

How does acupuncture work?
Needles are inserted at specific points on the body to stimulate your body to heal itself. These points are on channels, or meridians which are linked to specific internal organs and organ systems. The needles are pre-sterilized and disposable and are extremely thin, about the size of a cat whisker.

How many times will I need to come in for treatments?
This depends on your concern, how long you’ve suffered from it, and your general health. Some people will respond to treatment more quickly than others. We are trying to encourage your body’s energy  to take over the healing process.  During your initial visit we will let you know how many visits we think you’ll need; however, this is merely an educated guess.

Can you treat my problem?
Chinese medicine can be helpful for most health conditions. Acupuncture, food therapy, lifestyle changes and Chinese herbal formulas can address many, many health concerns.

Can I get acupuncture for wellness?
Yes!  Acupuncture strengthens the body to prevent illness. People use Chinese traditional medicine as part of their health maintenance plan.  After an initial treatment series, people may choose to come in bi-weekly or monthly to maintain their improved health.
