3 cups frozen berries, a mixture is fine
2 teaspoons honey
1/2 cup cold water

Directions:
Place ingredients in a blender, process until smooth and serve.
Dr. Schmidt tip: I add a handful of spinach to all my smoothies for an added serving of vegetables!

Dr. Eliason tip: If you need a caffeine punch, I add Green Tea instead of water to all my smoothies. Green Tea is an excellent source of antioxidants.

Health fact: Berries have MANY health benefits. Studies have shown that blueberries can have neurocognitive benefits and improve memory! There are also trends in the literature that suggests blueberries can help reduce depressive symptoms and improve glucose levels.

Fun fact: The little “hairs” on raspberries and blackberries are called Styles. Styles come from the blossom of the berries and provide protection. Although these little hairs may be a defense mechanism or look funny, they are perfectly safe to consume!
